FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Good questions deserve plain answers.

Questions about your own health, medications or eligibility are best answered at your consultation.

GETTING STARTED

How do I book?

Book a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation online from any Book button on this site. For an in-clinic consultation, email mark@marvelle.ca to arrange a time. You can also call 613-263-9996. Mark replies within one business day.

Where is the clinic?

In Stittsville, Ottawa. Marvelle is a home-based, appointment-only clinic. Your full address is sent once your prescreening is complete and your appointment is confirmed. Free street parking is available.

Is a home-based clinic safe and legitimate?

Every visit is with a Registered Nurse working under Nurse Practitioner-directed medical directives. You are fully screened before treatment, and emergency supplies are on hand for every session.

Do you treat men?

Yes. Men are welcome, and every visit is private.

Why can't you tell me the total cost upfront?

Per-unit and per-syringe prices are published on our pricing page. Your total depends on how much product you need, which can only be judged at your assessment. The aesthetic consultation is free, and you get a clear number before anything is done.

Do you run promotions or discounts?

No. We keep our prices fair and consistent for every client, and focus on careful work you will want to come back for.

INJECTABLES

I don't want to look frozen or overdone.

A first session treats one area, conservatively. Your result is checked at a two-week review, and more can be added then if you want it. Stylage filler is hyaluronic acid, which can be dissolved, and the product that dissolves it is kept on site.

Will anyone be able to tell?

No one can promise that. Filler swelling usually peaks within 24 to 72 hours and then settles, so it helps to book away from important events. Neuromodulator results take about 14 days to show fully.

Will it hurt?

Stylage filler contains lidocaine for comfort. Neuromodulator injections feel like quick pinches.

How long do results last?

It varies from person to person, and no length of time is guaranteed. Your result is checked at your two-week review, and touch-ups are planned from there.

At what age should I start?

There is no right age. Treatment is based on your concerns and your goals, not a number.

I had a bad experience somewhere else.

Mention it at your consultation. Past treatments are part of your assessment, and nothing happens until there is a plan you are comfortable with.

Will I be pressured to buy more?

Never. You get a plan and prices at your assessment. Choosing not to go ahead, or to do less than the plan, is always an option.

IV & IM NUTRITION

Does IV nutrition actually work?

It is a wellness complement, not a treatment for any condition, and the evidence for some nutrients is limited. Any change you notice from a series builds over weekly sessions and fades once sessions stop.

Where do your products come from?

Every product comes from licensed pharmacies and suppliers, including a licensed compounding pharmacy. Some are used outside their original approved uses. Before your first session, we walk you through each product, how it is made and what the evidence shows, so you can decide with full information.

Can I have a session if I have a medical condition?

It depends, and that is what your screening is for. Sessions are not offered during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with an unmanaged medical condition, or during or within 3 to 5 years of cancer treatment.
